Summary

Power outages are more than just an inconvenience in the country. For one homeowner outside Duncan, the risk of losing electricity during storms or utility issues called for a permanent backup solution. We were called in to design and install a standby generator system that would keep their home running smoothly, no matter what Oklahoma weather throws their way.

The Work

Installed a Kohler 20kW standby generator on a concrete pad, positioned for both code compliance and easy access to propane
Provided and set up a 200A service-rated automatic transfer switch with custom rack mounting
Ran electrical lines between utility, transfer switch, and generator, securing all connections and adding surge protection
Handled equipment delivery, leveling, setup, warranty registration, and system start-up, plus on-the-spot training for the homeowner

The Outcome

The homeowner now has peace of mind knowing their essential systems will stay powered during outages. The new generator is set up for reliable operation and easy maintenance, with the first year of scheduled service included. If you’re thinking about backup power, we can walk you through the process and answer your questions.
